Visit to Profit Resources - home of the Avery Point Lighthouse Bricks

On February 11, 2005, Jim and Irma Streeter of the Avery Point Lighthouse Society paid a visit to the Profit Resources Company in Denver, Colorado. This is the company which has been contracted to provide and engrave the dedication bricks for the special walkway at the Avery Point Lighthouse. To date approximately 2,800 bricks have been ordered. Profit Resources is an extremely well known and professional engraving company. It is the only company permitted to engrave (cut) the newly added names to the Vietnam Memorial Wall and the Law Enforcement Memorial.

During the tour of the facilities, Tom Bauer, a Principal for the company and the entire company staff walked Jim and Irma through the process of producing the engraved bricks. Although not complicated, the process ensures that the completed bricks are of top quality.

The Avery Point Lighthouse Society is extremely pleased it selected Profit Resources to provide and engrave the bricks for the dedication walkway, an intricate part of the overall restoration program of the lighthouse and a major part of the fund raising effort of the project.
